ERA Fellowships - Green Hydrogen

In brief

The programme provides funding for a research project or continuing academic training at a state or state-recognised institution of higher education in Germany or a non-university research institute, which is being carried out in agreement with a supervisor in Germany or a self-organized internship in a German company or a non-university institution in the field of GH2.

Who can apply?

PhD students and postdocs from all scientific disciplines whose study or research focus is clearly related to Green Hydrogen (GH2) from universities in the extended European Research Area (ERA) who want to be an active part in one of the four working groups (Production; Infrastructure and Transport; Market Stimulation; Cross-cutting topics)

Further requirements

Applicants who have not completed their PhD yet should have started their doctorate no longer than 3 years ago. Postdocs should have completed their doctorate no more than 2 years before the application deadline.

Type and extent of funding

Grant of 1,200 to 2,000 euros per month (depending on qualifications) plus additional allowances, such as health, accident and personal liability insurance contributions, travel subsidy, a research allowance and language course.

Duration

1 to 24 months for research fellowships and 2 to 3 months for internships. The fellowship cannot be extended.
